What's new in Clear107

Changes to the exam simulator, readiness score, drills, handbook and emails, newest first. Questions or something not working? Tell us.

Chart practice expanded for the new UAG image format

We made the chart tools clearer and easier to use alongside the current-sectional questions added for the October 26 FAA test change.

Chart practice

  • Figure 20 remains the free starting scenario. Clear107 Pro now opens every other available FAA figure scenario in one chart sequence.
  • Every paid chart scenario has plain-English study cues, zoom and pan controls, and Previous/Next buttons so you can move through the set without returning to the catalog.
  • Every current sectional excerpt now has a Clear107 Pro learning loop: find a chart cue, reveal its FAA-linked meaning and Part 107 consequence, see the common trap, then practice linked questions without leaving the chart.
  • Figure 78, which previously had no study cues, now explains the Sioux Gateway Class D boundary, the Hinton-to-Winnebago route, airport data, Class E floor, and MSL versus AGL.

Preparing for the October 26 FAA change

  • Chart practice now links to our guide on the UAG image-based question update and the study method to use with an unfamiliar chart.
  • The paid visual-question pool currently has 530 questions: 423 on 16 FAA testing-supplement figures and 107 across 22 current sectional excerpts. They use current FAA charts for study; they are not copies of active test questions.

Fixes from a full review of every study tool

We went through the diagnostic, drills, simulator, dashboard and emails on phone and desktop and fixed what got in the way.

Questions and figures

  • The diagnostic now shows the figure for questions that refer to one.
  • 18 questions that mentioned a figure now show it. The few whose figure we don't have yet are hidden until it is added.
  • The simulator shows three answer choices, like the real test.
  • After a drill, the review shows the same choices and letters you saw while answering.
  • Question of the day uses questions that need no figure, with three choices.

Prices and purchases

  • Practice Pass is shown as $4.99/month everywhere, and the upgrade banner no longer suggests a credit is applied automatically.
  • If you are signed in and already have Pro, or an active Practice Pass, checkout stops you from paying twice.

Smaller fixes

  • Diagnostic emails show your real score.
  • On phones, the next simulator question scrolls into view after you tap Next.
  • Topic names read properly (for example "Weather (METAR/TAF)"), and drill headers fit on small screens.

A real exam timer, honest readiness and a clearer dashboard

The exam simulator now behaves like the real test, readiness is built from your recent full exams, and the dashboard puts the exam first.

Exam simulator

  • The timer works like the real test: it keeps running even if you close the tab, and your answers save as you go.
  • If time runs out, you get your result for the answers you gave in time. You can then finish the remaining questions as practice, or start a new exam.
  • A short "Before you start" screen explains the timer, flags and reporting. Clear107 Pro members choose Standard questions or New & missed first.
  • A bar at the bottom of every page shows a running exam and the time left, with Continue and Finish buttons.
  • Old unfinished exams no longer reopen weeks later, and the resume prompt shows the real question count (for example 12 of 60).
  • You can report a problem with a question during the exam, not only after it.

Readiness score

  • Overall readiness is now built from your last 10 full 60-question exams. Each one passed before time runs out adds 5 points at 70% and up to 10 points at 92% or more; a fail adds nothing.
  • 100% readiness means your last 10 full exams were all passed in time at 92% or better. Ten bare passes at 70% read as 50%.
  • Topic exams, drills and the diagnostic still build skill but no longer change readiness. The Terms and Refund Policy now define 100% readiness the same way.

Dashboard and practice

  • "Start full exam" is the main button on the dashboard, and the extra practice modes moved up next to Today's priority.
  • The readiness card shows one bar for each of your last 10 full exams and the points each one added.
  • Drills open with a short note on how flags and reports work.
  • Reports from topic, ACS and review drills now go through; some were being rejected before.

Handbook, emails and site

  • The practice drill now appears on 19 free handbook sections, up from 8, and handbook pages load faster.
  • Study and reminder emails have an Unsubscribe link. Sign-in and purchase emails always arrive.
  • If an exam's time runs out unfinished, you get one email that your result is ready, instead of several reminders.
  • The homepage lists free tools, guides and the latest articles as cards.

The full question bank and current sectional charts

Practice now draws from the whole question bank, with new questions on the current FAA sectional charts.

Questions

  • Drills, the diagnostic and the simulator now draw from the full bank of more than 1,200 questions. A database limit had been cutting the pool roughly in half.
  • 60 new questions on current FAA sectional chart excerpts (the edition valid October 29 to December 23, 2026), matching the October 2026 change to the Part 107 test.

Saving and purchases

  • Simulator results from free accounts now save to your history.
  • If granting access after a purchase hits a temporary error, it is retried automatically instead of being lost.

How readiness is scored is explained on the readiness score page, and what changed on the FAA test itself is in Part 107 test changes for October 2026.
