Readiness score

How the Clear107 readiness score works

Clear107 readiness is built from your last 10 full 60-question exams: 5 to 10 points per pass before time runs out, 0 for a fail. The formula, explained.

Updated

Your readiness score answers one question: can you pass a full Part 107 exam, under time pressure, again and again? One good run can be luck. Ten strong runs in a row are not.

How is the score built?

Clear107 looks at your last 10 full 60-question exams in the simulator. Each one adds points:

Full exam resultPoints
Passed before time ran out, at 70%5
Passed before time ran out, between 70% and 92%Between 5 and 10, rising with the score
Passed before time ran out, at 92% or more10
Below 70%, or finished after time ran out0

Your readiness is the total of those 10 results, so it runs from 0% to 100%. 100% means your last 10 full exams were all passed in time at 92% or better. Ten bare passes at 70% add up to only 50%.

Why only the last 10 exams?

Because readiness should describe how you would do on test day, not how you did a month ago. Every new full exam pushes the oldest one out of the window. A string of strong runs lifts the score quickly; a fail drops a slot to zero, so a slump shows up right away instead of hiding behind old passes.

What counts as a full exam?

A run of the full 60-question simulator, submitted before its timer ran out. The timer keeps running even if you close the tab, like the real test. If time runs out, the result counts the answers you gave in time; finishing the remaining questions afterwards is practice and does not count.

Topic exams, drills and the diagnostic build skill and point you to weak areas, but they do not change your readiness score.

Where do you see it?

Your dashboard shows the number, one bar for each of your last 10 full exams, and how many points each added. After every full exam, the results screen tells you whether the run counted and what your readiness is now.

Readiness is a study signal, not an FAA prediction. Its formal use is the pass guarantee, which requires 100% readiness, as defined above, before your exam.

Every full exam you pass in time adds to your readiness score.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Part 107 readiness score?
It is Clear107's measure of how consistently you pass a full, timed 60-question practice exam. It looks at your last 10 full exams: each one passed before the timer ran out adds 5 to 10 points depending on the score, and a fail or an over-time run adds nothing.
What readiness score should I have before booking the exam?
100% means your last 10 full exams were all passed in time at 92% or better, which is a strong margin over the FAA pass mark of 70%. The pass guarantee requires 100% readiness.
Is the readiness score an FAA prediction?
No. It is a study signal built by Clear107. The FAA does not publish any readiness measure, and no tool can guarantee a test result.
