The Clear107 Part 107 question bank

1,281 published Part 107 practice questions mapped to the FAA ACS, 496 on FAA chart figures and current sectionals. How the bank is split and kept current.

Updated

Clear107 has 1,344 published Part 107 practice questions. Each one is mapped to a knowledge code in the FAA's Airman Certification Standards (ACS), the document the FAA uses to define what the Remote Pilot knowledge test covers. 399 questions use the 16 FAA testing-supplement figures you will see on test day, such as sectional chart excerpts and METAR examples.

Airspace has the most questions because chart reading needs volume: 399 questions sit on testing-supplement figures, most of them chart questions, and 105 more use excerpts of current FAA sectionals, the format the FAA added to the test on October 26, 2026. The simulator does not use these raw proportions. It builds each 60-question run to the FAA blueprint weights, so a practice exam has the same balance as the real one. The blueprint weights post explains those weights.

Are these real FAA questions?

No, and you should be wary of anyone who says theirs are. The FAA does not release its live question bank. What it does publish is the ACS, sample questions, the testing supplement and the regulations. Clear107 questions are written against those sources and follow the FAA's question style: short scenarios, one best answer and references to the same figures.

How do we keep it current?

Rules change. Remote ID, operations over people and night operations all changed the exam in the last few years. Every question carries tags for the regulation sections it depends on, and an automated check compares each tagged section against the current eCFR text. If a section changed after the question's last verification date, the question is flagged for review. The current bank was last verified on 2026-11-02.

The same check runs on the blog and the handbook. Our source policy explains which FAA documents we treat as primary and how citations work.

How do you use the bank well?

Do not grind through it in order. Take the free diagnostic first, drill the weakest area, then run the exam simulator. Repeat until your readiness score is stable. The two-week study plan turns that into a day-by-day schedule.

Frequently asked questions

How many practice questions does Clear107 have?
1,344 published questions, of which 1,184 are eligible for the timed simulator. They are mapped to 61 knowledge codes in the FAA Airman Certification Standards.
Are these the real FAA test questions?
No. The FAA does not publish its live test bank, and anyone claiming to sell real questions is misleading you. Clear107 questions are written to the FAA's published knowledge areas and question style, using the same testing-supplement figures.
How do you keep the questions up to date?
Every question is tagged with the regulation sections it relies on. An automated check compares those sections against the current eCFR and flags any question whose rule changed after its last verification date.
