DARTdrones is a drone training company with both online courses and in-person classes in many cities, which makes it the obvious pick for anyone who wants a person in the room. Clear107 is online only and practice-first. The two also define a "guarantee" very differently, which is worth reading closely.

What do they cost?

DARTdrones online Part 107 test prep (regularly $200)

DARTdrones' Part 107 page lists the online course at $150, regularly $200, and an in-person plus online option with 8 hours of interactive training at $670, plus a live virtual option. Its online course includes more than 600 practice questions, a 50-page study guide, access to a chief pilot for questions, and lifetime access. Clear107 Pro is $13.99 once with lifetime access, or $4.99 a month for the Practice Pass.

How do the guarantees differ?

This is the biggest difference. DARTdrones' Exam Retest Guarantee pays the FAA retest fee and gives additional live prep at no cost if a qualifying student fails, and its FAQ states that it does not refund the course purchase price. To qualify, online students must complete every required module, including night operations, to 100% within 90 days before the exam; it can be used once and needs the failing score report.

Clear107 Pro's 100% Readiness Pass Guarantee refunds the Pro price if you reach 100% readiness in Clear107 before your next FAA attempt and do not pass. The terms are on the pass guarantee page. Any first purchase is also refundable within 7 days.

How do they teach?

DARTdrones combines an online course, a study guide and, if you want it, classroom time with an instructor and hands-on chart study. Clear107 has no classes or video: a free diagnostic finds your weak areas, the handbook covers each ACS element in plain English, and drills and the 60-question simulator with Practice Pass do the rest.

Prices and guarantee terms were checked on DARTdrones' own page on October 6, 2026. They change, so confirm before buying. The prices and guarantees comparison covers more providers.

Which should you pick?

Choose DARTdrones if a live class or an instructor you can ask matters to you, or your employer is paying for in-person training. Choose Clear107 if you study well on your own and want the most practice for the least money. The Clear107 vs King Schools comparison looks at a video-only alternative.

Read what a guarantee pays for. A retest fee and a refund are not the same promise.
